664 Mixer Dual Recorder
The 664 was the first of the popular 6-Series mixer/recorders to be released. It has 12 analog inputs, four output buses, and records these 16 tracks to both CF and SD cards. This unprecedented amount of I/O connectivity and recording capability makes the 664 perfect for a wide range of production applications.
The 664 has six ultra-low noise, high-dynamic-range mic/line inputs. These transformer-less preamps offer analog peak limiters, high-pass filters, input trim controls, and direct outputs. Input connectors 1 and 6 can be selected to accept AES42 or AES3 digital signals. Six line-level inputs, 7 through 12, are available by reassigning direct outputs as inputs from the Input Setup Menu. With an attached CL-6 Controller, inputs 7-12 have dedicated fadercontrol. In complex, multi-camera productions, output flexibility is essential. The 664 offers three sets of balanced left/right outputs. Two additional output buses, X1 and X2, appear on balanced TA3 connectors. XLR and multi-pin outputs are selectable to AES3 digital. |
Lectrosonics 411 Wireless Systems (3)
3 in inventory. The Lectrosonics SMV Super Miniature Wireless Microphone Transmitter incorporates Lectrosonics patented Digital Hybrid Wireless technology, in a package no bigger than a pager. The SMV transmitter is miniature in size yet rugged enough to withstand rigorous daily use in the field or in studios.
To meet the demand for both extended operating range and extended battery life, the SMV transmitters offer selectable output power of 50, 100 or 250 mW. A third selection at 50 mW is provided for some theatrical applications, where the system design specifies lower transmitter power. The SMV transmitter offers 256 user-selectable UHF frequencies. The Switchcraft TA5M audio input has user-calibrated 44 dB gain range, and accepts electret lavaliere mics, dynamic mics, or line level signals. A DSP-controlled analog audio limiter is employed before the A-D converter. The limiter has a range of more than 30 dB and a dual-release envelope, making the limiter transparent while maintaining low distortion. Lectrosonics patented Digital Hybrid technology revolutionizes wireless microphone transmission. Digital audio signal is converted and encoded for analog transmission, then decoded and converted back to digital audio at the receiver. The result is an exceptionally low noise floor as the compandor circuit is eliminated and clear audio reception is retained at greater distances. The non-corrosive, machined aluminum casing is splash proof and features an LCD display with membrane switch control panel. The transmitter is powered by one AA lithium, NiMH or alkaline battery for up to 7.25 hours (lithium). The SMV transmitter is completely compatible with all Lectrosonics Digital Hybrid wireless receivers, as well as older Lectrosonics analog receivers. |
302 Mixer
The Sound Devices 302 is the most compact and cost-effective, battery-powered, professional audio mixer in its class. This no-nonsense, rugged little mixer features three exceptionally quiet mic preamps and balanced transformers to perfectly handle very low frequencies.
With important features to accommodate nearly any over-the-shoulder production, the 302 interfaces with wireless transmitters and receivers, camera audio inputs of all kinds, and external audio recorders. Its microphone inputs share the same superb circuitry as the 552 Portable Production Mixer and MixPre-D Compact Field Mixer. Like Sound Devices larger 552 Field Mixer, the 302 is a complete Field Mixer, but designed in a super-compact package. Controls are accessible on its three main surfaces, its high-efficiency power circuitry runs the mixer from either three internal AA batteries or external 5-18 VDC. |
Lectrosonics SRB
Dual Wireless Systems 2 in inventory. Lectrosonics is pleased to introduce a new two-channel slot-mount Digital Hybrid Wirelss™ diversity receiver. The SRB receiver offers two independent channels and fits into the standard video camera slots found on professional cameras. The two audio channels can be fed separate inputs or can be mixed internally to feed a single input.
The two Digital Hybrid Wireless receivers inside the SRB offer 256 frequencies each in one of many available blocks, and operate with any of the Lectrosonics 400 Series transmitters without a compandor in the audio path. In addition, compatibility modes also facilitate operation with Lectrosonics 100 Series, 200 Series, and IFB analog systems, along with analog transmitters from two other manufacturers. Transmitter battery strength is monitored in the SRB when using compatibility modes for 200 and 400 Series transmitters. While mounted on a camera, the SRB is splash resistant—thanks to sealed membrane switches and LCD, along with a special gasket covering the slot opening. The SRB can be used with slot-equipped Sony, Ikegami, or Panasonic professional cameras via optional connector kits. NOTE: Not all cameras have two audio channels enabled in the slot. The SRB/5P variant is equipped with an external audio output for cameras that only have one audio input in the slot. Both audio channels can be connected with an external cable. A stand-alone kit is also available that enables using the SRB/5P out of the camera slot, powered from external DC, and provides two locking mini-XLR analog audio outputs. Available in the following operating frequencies (MHz):
